About Me
My name is Kael McGuire, and I grew up in a military family where I learned to connect with people quickly, as well as how and how not to make the most of where I am, even if only for a short while. So far, I've lived in North Carolina for 2 years, Virginia for 8 years, Florida for 6 years, Texas for about a year (on and off), and Arkansas for a year and a half.
I am currently a double major at Harding University in both Film and Theological Studies. I've been learning lots of really amazing film skills but have specifically taken an interest in scriptwriting, directing, camera work, and producing. I have a big interest in making documentaries. So far, I've produced, written, and/or directed 3 short films and have 1 more short film and a feature-length documentary in the works.
I am a Christian, and I love God with every ounce of my heart. I will not work on a project if I do not believe 100% that it will glorify God. Even if the way it's glorifying God is just by making someone laugh. I will always put my faith in God as the highest priority on a film set and will aim to treat everyone with kindness and respect in every aspect of making a film.

As I've mentioned on every page of this website, my relationship with God is the most important thing to me. I was raised in the Church of Christ; however, in my early teens, I stopped living for Christ and really started to live for my own wants and desires. I hurt so many people over the course of the 8 years I was chasing my own desires, but because of my parents and great role models, I never lost sight of my core values, even as I willingly betrayed them. Remembering God and the Word He left us is the only reason im still alive today.
Every film I make, I want it to glorify God in some way. Doesn't matter if that film is this insanely silly situation that would never happen, and the intent is just to make people laugh. Or if the film is this deep spiritual theme that speaks against sin or speaks to a Godly trait. However, my favorite thing to do is simply to tell real stories of God working in people's lives. That's why I love documentaries; I just get to sit there have listen to stories, and then I get to distribute those stories to so many others over the internet for the whole world to see. Even in real stories and in documentaries Im still getting to use the creative abilities that God gave me. And because God gave me these creative abilities, I will choose to honor Him with them in every way.
