"No Matter Where You Go."
My goal for this documentary is to show that, as Christians, you can do missions anywhere with any of the skills God has given you.
For example, I've already interviewed a neurosurgeon who works in Kenya. I plan to interview someone who works at Harding as a dean of education who takes hours every day to leave his office and go meet college guys and mentor them. He has absolutely no other reason other than God's mission to do so. I also plan on interviewing people who have done missions in various ways and places, such as in Italy, New Jersey, a guy who worked for the American government, Someone who showed the Gospel to rich people, and many others.
I often find in the Church of Christ we make the mistake of thinking of missionaries as people who go to other countries and plant churches or do disaster relief and things like that. But anyone can be a missionary, literally; anyone can do God's work. I want to be able to softly call us out and, even more so, encourage us to do God's mission wherever we happen to be.
The target audience would be anyone who is pursuing Christ and doesn’t know where God is calling them, or anyone who wants to go into a mission field but isn’t sure what skills they have that could help further the kingdom of God.
Currently, I am in the production stage of this project. I have completed 1 interview out of 13 and am scheduling more throughout the course of this year. We plan to have the production stage finished and enter post-production by April 2027. And we plan for the project to premiere by August 2027.
Currently, I am acting as Director, Producer, and Cinematographer on this project, but will occasionally bring in another student for help. My portfolio can be found here: [Insert Link Later]
